The Program & Coach Development Coordinator plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and effective coaching environment. This position is responsible for supervising, mentoring, and supporting coaches while ensuring that all program standards and goals are met. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership and organizational skills, a passion for youth development, and a commitment to building a high-performing coaching team.
Responsibilities:
Status: Part-time (15-20 hrs per week per schedule)
As a Thrive intern, you will get first hand experience learning the ins and outs of running a college prep program with multiple locations across the country. You’ll have the opportunity to work across departments, brainstorm and spearhead projects and take them from idea to fruition. Along the way you’ll receive mentoring from your colleagues and other professionals in our networks. With support from the Director of Academies and Program Operations Managers, the intern will be responsible for supporting the Academies team with day to day administrative tasks leading up to Thrive Academy, supporting pre-departure needs of Scholars, and developing communication materials for Scholars, internal and external stakeholders.

Thrive Scholars is seeking a College Readiness Teaching Assistant who can work with a faculty member to administer a college math or writing course to our students preparing for the rigor of courses at selective institutions. The math courses include a range from Statistic and Precalculus to Multivariable Calculus. The writing courses are Introduction to Creative and Expository Writing and Introduction to Academic Writing. The uniqueness of this position lies in its dual focus on supporting students both inside and outside the classroom. Teaching Assistants will foster a sense of community with their assigned students, emphasizing belonging, connectedness, and resilience in a new environment. In practice, this includes creative ways to start the class period, developing shared meanings and motivational mantras to encourage resilience, and conducting personal check-ins with students who miss class. This role provides the opportunity to co-create and nurture a culture of safety that maximizes student engagement and learning. College readiness teaching assistants serve as both teachers and mentors, combining instructional support with personal guidance. Rainbow Rising is looking for HIGH ENERGY staff to help lead and assist with activities such as arts and crafts, music, math, science, as well as outdoor games, but this position is not limited to those areas! Rainbow Rising employees are expected to successfully work in a collaborative environment, effectively supervise groups of children, and lead a vast array of activities and events for ages 5-12. We are currently located at 15 Elementary schools in Irvine. |
