View job description here!
The National Inventors Hall of Fame, a national educational non-profit organization, is in need of a site director and two instructors this summer for a one-week summer STEM enrichment program called Camp Invention, at Castille Elementary School in Capistrano USD from June 20-24, 2022. This program fosters an innovative mindset in elementary-age students through hands-on programming and thematic immersion and would be an excellent opportunity to get in the classroom to work with students, improve your classroom management skills, and experience teaching an immersive curriculum.

The Camp Invention program offers the following for local educators that get involved:
  • Stipend compensation
    • Director - $825-$1,500, depending on final program enrollment
    • Instructors - $650 -$850, depending on final program enrollment
  • Leadership and classroom experience
  • Discounts for your own children to attend the program
  • Turn-key Implementation with provided curriculum (see attached curriculum excerpt), materials, guides, support, and promotional materials
  • A great resume building opportunity
  • Networking opportunities with other educators and schools

Here’s a look at this year’s newly released 2022 Camp Invention program called EXPLORE! The Invention Education infused pedagogy cultivates social-emotional learning, inventive thinking, growth mindset, entrepreneurship and builds confidence in essential 21-century skills.

Camp Invention offers a turn-key framework and support for local teams to execute this impactful opportunity for students with simplicity. Additionally, this program is already established with students registered and a supportive administration, so now they just need some excellent team members to implement the program. See the attached documents for more information on the site director and instructor roles. If you are interested in having a brief conversation to learn more about either the Director or Instructor roles, please contact Ashley Schaer via email at aschaer@invent.org, by phone at 330-760-7285, or schedule a brief Zoom Chat here: https://calendly.com/aschaer/15min-1. Additionally, if you might be interested in instructing at the program, please reach out as well!
