Welcome to the School of Education PhD Program webpage.  We are very proud of our PhD program. It is one of the most interdisciplinary training programs in the world with world famous faculty members in economics, sociology, psychology, neuro-science, information sciences, and education with interests ranging from training the brain and education and professional development in all contexts across the life span to educational equity and social policy .  In addition, our graduate students are among the most diverse and very best in the world and the quality of our faculty and students. Students come to this program from all over the world, with backgrounds and interests in teaching, economics, psychology, sociology, anthropology, English, the humanities, Infomatics, the media, mathematics, social policy, social justice, educational equity, culture, and all of the STEM fields.  This section contains specific information on our major areas of study and research, resources available to graduate students, doctoral requirements, and FAQs related to the PhD in Education.
