Brianna Ashley Gonzalez

Salutations! My name is Brianna Ashley Gonzalez, and I am a fourth year double majoring in Education and Sociology. I am also a first-generation college student! Serving as a Peer Academic Advisor during my last year, I advise to not be afraid to ask for help and that there are no such things as bad questions. Throughout my time at UCI, I have been able to find amazing opportunities and meet new individuals by asking questions. Our university holds so many resources that could support you in different ways, including your professors and faculty! Just know you are not alone on your college journey, and you have a community at UCI who would love to help and guide you towards your goals! I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family, listening to music, watching movies, and walking around nature. If you have any questions or do not know where to begin, I am more than happy to help! Zot, zot, zot!

Alexis Maddox Harlos

Hi everyone! My name is Alexis Maddox Harlos and I am a third year Education Sciences and Psychological Sciences double major. I’m from Anaheim, CA and grew up spending a lot of time around UCI. I am so excited and grateful to be working in the School of Education Office of Student Affairs this year as a Peer Academic Advisor and to have the opportunity to offer support and guidance to other students on their journey at UCI. I also work as a Resident Advisor (RA) for Mesa Court Housing. When I’m not working or in class you can find me going to concerts, playing guitar, spending time with my friends and family, or taking photos. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! Zot zot zot!

Amber Liang

Hello everyone! My name is Amber Liang (she/her) and I am a third-year Education Sciences, Psychological Science, and Urban Studies student. I am super thrilled and grateful to be serving as one of your Peer Academic Advisors for the 2022-2023 academic year. At UCI, I am also involved in the American Red Cross Club and I serve as a Stacks Assistant for the Science Library! In my free time, I enjoy being crafty, playing or listening to music, traveling to new places, and learning random facts! A fun fact about me is that I enjoy origami, and I actually folded over one thousand tiny paper cranes in two months in 2021. One piece of advice I can offer is to simply step out of your comfort zone and open yourself to new experiences! From joining a club to applying for a campus job to utilizing UCI’s beneficial resources, seeking out different opportunities to involve yourself within the campus community will make your time here at UCI extremely meaningful and memorable. I look forward to helping you navigate your college journey, and feel free to reach out if you ever need any assistance or have any questions! Zot, zot, zot!

Arely Ramirez

Hi everyone! My name is Arely Ramirez and I’m a 3rd year Education Sciences major with a minor in Spanish and English Bilingual Education. I want to add Psychological Sciences as a double major though! I’m super excited to be working as a Peer Academic Advisor for the School of Education and I will try my best to assist everyone who has questions! A piece of advice I would give is to seek help when you need it! It could definitely be intimidating, but everyone at UCI is willing to help you. In addition to that we have a lot of resources that you can take advantage of! During summer I was a SPOP staffer and I also work for UCI’s EAOP. I enjoy watching shows, going out to eat with friends, exploring new places, and going on adventures. A fun fact about me is that I’ve been on every ride at Six Flags! If you ever have any questions or need assistance feel free to reach out!
